ICAEW

Professional body and register

We are a member firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and meet the requirements to describe ourselves as Chartered Accountants. That designation is granted, monitored and can be withdrawn.

You can confirm our registration on the ICAEW register at find.icaew.com by searching our firm name and location.

Standards

Codes of conduct

Our work is subject to the ICAEW Code of Ethics, to continuing professional development requirements, and to the Institute's practice assurance monitoring. All of these are published in English.

Scope

Work we are not licensed or registered to do

We are not registered to carry out statutory audit work. We do not hold a Designated Professional Body licence and do not provide investment business services. We do not give regulated financial, pension or investment advice, we are not licensed insolvency practitioners, and we do not provide legal services or reserved legal activities such as probate.

Where a client needs any of these, we will say so and either introduce someone we trust or work alongside the client's existing adviser. We will tell you the tax and accounting consequences of a decision; we will not advise on the regulated product itself.

Fees

Professional indemnity insurance

We hold professional indemnity insurance with Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, UK Branch Head Office, The Zurich Centre, 3000 Parkway, Whiteley, Fareham, Hampshire PO15 7JZ. The territorial coverage is worldwide, excluding work carried out from offices in the United States or Canada and claims brought in the courts of those countries.

Fees

Our fees are fixed and agreed in writing before work starts, and are set out in the engagement letter for each service. Where work is quoted rather than included in a monthly fee, we scope and fix the price before we begin. Indicative prices are published on our pricing page.

Complaints

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please raise it with your usual contact at the firm first. We are required under the ICAEW Disciplinary Bye-laws to investigate any complaint a client makes, and we would always rather hear about a problem early.

If we cannot resolve the matter between us, you can take it to ICAEW. Details of how to complain about an ICAEW member firm are published at icaew.com/regulation.

Legal

Language and governing law

We correspond and contract in English. Our engagement terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
