Problems we solve

Sound familiar?

Most owners come to us because the year-end has become a scramble or the tax bill keeps surprising them.

“The accounts always seem to be done at the last minute.”
How we help

We work to your year end, not the filing deadline, and agree a timetable with you at the start of each year.

“I never know what the tax bill will be until it arrives.”
How we help

We estimate corporation tax before your year end, look at what can still be done, and tell you what to set aside.

“Companies House keeps sending reminders.”
How we help

Confirmation statements, accounts and changes of director are tracked and filed for you.

“I don’t understand the accounts when I get them.”
How we help

We take you through them in plain English and explain what the numbers mean for next year.

The difference

Plan before the year end

Once the year has closed, most of the decisions that affect your tax bill have already been made. A review a few months before gives you time to act.

How it works

What working with us looks like

1
A free first call

Twenty minutes on what you need and what is not working. If you don’t need us, we’ll say so.

2
A fixed fee, agreed up front

You know the cost before any work starts. No time-sheets, no surprise bills.

3
Your year planned

A timetable from your year end, with a tax estimate before it.

4
Filed early

Accounts and returns filed well ahead, with a clear note of what to pay and when.

Corporation tax

What the marginal band actually costs.

Between £50,000 and £250,000 of profit, every extra pound is taxed at 26.5% — higher than the 25% main rate itself. Associated companies divide both limits, which is where most surprises come from.

2026/27 rates: 19% small profits rate to £50,000, 25% main rate above £250,000, marginal relief fraction 3/200. An estimate on taxable profit only — augmented profits, short periods and group structures change the answer. Not advice. Talk to us before acting on it.
Questions

Common questions

Anything else, call us on 01242 226789.

When will my accounts be done?
We agree a timetable at the start of each year, usually within a few months of your year end rather than near the deadline.
Can you take over mid-year?
Yes. We handle the clearance with your current accountant and pick up from where they left off.
Do I need Xero?
We work in Xero and recommend it. Moving you across can be part of getting started.
What if I am a sole trader?
We prepare your accounts and self assessment together, and check whether Making Tax Digital applies to you.
